Why This Truck is Special
- 12V Cummins Engine: The most sought-after diesel engine ever made. Known for reliability and longevity well beyond a million miles
- Manual Transmission: Direct power delivery and driver control
- Runs Super Smooth: Recent major service work ensures excellent mechanical reliability
- Recent Major Repairs: Rebuilt fuel injection pump (VE-type), new power steering pump, clutch, brakes, and tie rod
- Sorted Electrical: One-wire alternator with integrated regulator relocated away from the firewall (was getting soaked); fusible link issues eliminated and upgraded — very reliable now
- California Truck: Solid frame with only surface rust — no structural rot
- W350 Heavy Duty: Single Rear Wheel (SRW) 1-ton with robust frame and suspension — not a dually
Honest Condition Assessment
Mechanical: Excellent. Rebuilt VE-type injection pump, new power steering pump, clutch, fresh brakes, and tie rod. Electrical fully sorted with upgraded fusible links and regulator relocated away from firewall. The 12V Cummins runs smooth and strong.
Body/Cosmetic: Poor. Surface rust throughout, body dings, bent front bumper. Headliner and upholstery shot. This is a working truck — not a show truck. The frame is solid (California truck); all the hard mechanical work is already done.
Bed: Utility/contractor bed — not the original stock bed.
Known Issues: Odometer stopped at 164,837 miles (actual mileage likely under 200k — light use). Fuel gauge not working (common on these trucks, straightforward fix). Horn pad missing from steering wheel.

About First-Gen Cummins Trucks
The 1991-1993 Dodge trucks with the 12V Cummins are considered the holy grail of diesel pickups. These engines are legendary for their durability, simplicity, and ability to run for hundreds of thousands of miles with proper maintenance. The manual transmission and mechanical fuel injection mean fewer electronic components to fail. This is a truck that can be maintained and repaired by anyone with basic mechanical knowledge.
Despite the cosmetic issues, trucks like this are highly valued by those who understand the Cummins reputation. The engine alone is worth significant money for rebuilds and swaps.
